PIPE ORGAN: ReMIXED

New adventures with LDS hymns. A traditional styled chapel pipe organ, some modern synth and sampler production with access to an SSL mixing console. Pipes and Pistons is a collective of local Pasadena musicians exploring new ways to approach pipe organ production while hanging out recording and enjoying local SoCal chips and guacamole together.

PIPE ORGAN: TRADITIONAL

Covid-19 arrived, church congregations across the United States were sent home and remote ZOOM worship services became standard. Organist Janet Smith pre-recorded music from an empty chapel each week so her friends and local congregants could hear a small reminder of familiarity. The six collections below were performed between April 2020 to May 2021. Hymns are multi-verse, instrumental and include 8-16 bar introductions. All are welcome to use these recordings for personal listening or religious services.
